Giles County Solid Waste & Recycling
Giles County’s Solid Waste Coordinator is Julie Butler Phillips. The Giles County Solid Waste and Recycling Department offers a countywide solid waste management system that is built on a foundation of sound environmental principles with collaboration of county departments and municipalities.
Residents are encouraged to recycle and compost as much as possible to reduce the impact on the landfill. If residents are unsure what materials are accepted, please call (931) 424-7035.
The department manages garbage, waste and trash disposal at four full-service locations and one recycle-only location:
- Ag Convenience Center:
2030 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478. It operates Monday – Wednesday – Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m – Noon. The Center is closed on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and all Holidays. - Bodenham Convenience Center:
21130 US-64, Pulaski, TN 38478. It operates Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. – Noon. Bodenham is closed Sundays, Mondays and Fridays and on all Holidays. - Richland Convenience Center:
Old Apple Hill Rd, Lynnville, TN 38472. It operates Monday – Wednesday – Friday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. – Noon. Richland is closed on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. - Minor Hill Convenience Center:
188 Wray Branch Rd, Minor Hill, TN 38473. Minor Hill is open Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. – Noon. It is closed Monday, Friday, Sunday and all Holidays. - Industrial Park (Recycle Only):
Jimmy Suggs Drive, Pulaski, TN 38478. Industrial Park is a recycling-only center and is open Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Industrial Park is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday and all Holidays.

Convenience & Recycling Centers
The Convenience Centers provide an environmentally safe place to dispose of residential waste. The public is encouraged to recycle all reusable items to minimize the impact on landfills.
Acceptable & Unacceptable Waste At All Centers
Acceptable Items:
- Clean recyclables
- Bagged household trash
- Flattened cardboard
- Paper (newspaper, mail, magazines, etc)
- Plastics (#1 & #2)
- Scrap metal
- Aluminum
- Tin (rinsed)
- Waste oil
- Batteries
Unacceptable Items:
- Construction debris
- Trees or lumber
- We cannot accommodate trailers larger than 12′
Acceptable Waste Items:
Ag Center, Bodenham, Minor Hill, Richland:

- Large Debris (such as broken furniture)
- Household bulk items
- Scrap Metal
- Appliances
- Used Motor Oil
- Cooking Oil

Ag Center can additionally accommodate:
- Household Hazardous Waste (Year Round, see details below)
- TVs and Computers – $5 each with receipt showing paid from the Annex Solid Waste Main Office
- 4 Free Tires each year per household (come to Solid Waste office in Annex with cash or check for additional tire disposal)

- Aerosol Cans (Empty with no “hiss” may be recycled in metal recycling container)

- Unlabeled/Unknown Chemicals
- No Business, School, Church, Hospital, Doctor, Dental or Contractors Waste. Household Only.
- No Containers will be emptied and returned (eg., gasoline, kerosene, diesel or other fuels or sprayers)
- Containers Must Be Leak Free
- Ask Attendant for Recycling Resources for items on the UNacceptable list.
