Giles County Animal Shelter
Giles County Animal Shelter provides sheltering services for homeless, neglected, and stray dogs in Giles County and serves as an animal resource center for the communities we support. We are unable to accept cats or owner-surrendered dogs. The Shelter works closely with the Animal Control Officer (a Deputy Sheriff), Giles County Humane Association (for cats and owner-surrenders), and Lucky’s Cat House (for cats) to meet the animal services needs of Giles County residents.
Giles County Sheriff’s Department provides animal control services throughout Giles County. The Animal Control Officer (ACO) is a Deputy Sheriff and responds to requests for services in the field such as stray dog pick-ups, animal bites, and cases of cruelty or neglect.
