About the Giles County Clerk & Master
The Clerk & Master of the Chancery Court for Giles County, Tennessee, is responsible for legal matters that are family related or related to contracts, civil damages and the efforts of the government to collect delinquent property taxes.
The Clerk and Master is a part of the Chancery Court where cases will be decided. The Clerk and Master maintains the court’s decisions. Should you require additional copies of divorce decrees or Probated Wills, or other documents reflecting final adjudication, you can obtain those from The Clerk & Master’s Office.
The Clerk and Master is responsible for the following types of civil and probate matters:

- Order of Protection (married only – non-married files in General Sessions)

- Suits for collection of delinquent property taxes after two years
