Responsibilities of the Giles County Executive
The County Executive for Giles County, Tennessee, provides leadership to steer the county in the direction most beneficial to Giles County’s future. The County Executive represents the county in official business and is often involved in matters vital to the county’s community and economic development.
As elected by the Giles County Commission, the County Executive serves as Chairman of the County Commission.
The County Executive is also charged with the care and custody of specific county property.
The County Executive in Giles County is chairman of the Financial Management Committee and works closely with the office of the Financial Director.
Giles County’s County Executive has direct oversite of the following departments. The Director of each of these departments reports to the County Executive.
