Annual Budget

The county’s fiscal year runs from July 01 through June 30.  Each year the County Executive and other elected department heads work closely with the Director of Finance to develop and submit their recommended annual budgets to the Commission’s Budget Committee.  The Budget Committee meets frequently from April to May in deliberating the next fiscal year’s budget, which must then be approved by a majority of the Commission in its June meeting.

The County’s Fund Balance policy may be found here.

The annual budget may be found on the Finance Department’s page.
