Giles County Animal Shelter
Giles County Animal Shelter provides sheltering services for homeless, neglected, and stray dogs in Giles County and serves as an animal resource center for the communities we support. The shelter is unable to accept house cats or owner-surrendered dogs. The Shelter works closely with Giles County Sheriff’s Department, Giles County Humane Association, and Lucky’s Cat House to meet the animal services needs of Giles County residents.
Giles County Sheriff’s Department provides animal control services throughout Giles County. The Animal Control Officer is a Deputy Sheriff and responds to requests for services in the field such as picking up stray dogs and investigating animal bites and reports of animal cruelty and neglect. The ACO is dispatched through the Giles County E911.
