Giles County Solid Waste & Recycling |
Giles County’s Solid Waste Coordinator is Julie Butler Phillips. The Giles County Solid Waste and Recycling Department offers a countywide solid waste management system that is built on a foundation of sound environmental principles with collaboration of county departments and municipalities.
Residents are encouraged to recycle and compost as much as possible to reduce the impact on the landfill. If residents are unsure what materials are accepted, please call (931) 424-7035.
The department manages garbage, waste and trash disposal at four locations:
- Ag Center is located at 2030 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478. It operates Monday – Wednesday – Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m – Noon. The Center is closed on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and all Holidays.
- Bodenham is located at 21130 US-64, Pulaski, TN 38478. It operates Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. – Noon. Bodenham is closed Sundays, Mondays and Fridays and on all Holidays.
- Richland is located at Old Apple Hill Rd, Lynnville, TN 38472. It operates Monday – Wednesday – Friday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. – Noon. Richland is closed on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays.
- Minor Hill Center is located at 188 Wray Branch Rd, Minor Hill, TN 38473. Minor Hill is open Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. – Noon. It is closed Monday, Friday, Sunday and all Holidays.
- Industrial Park Recycle Only is located at Jimmy Suggs Drive, Pulaski, TN 38478. Industrial Park is a recycling only center and is open Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Industrial Park is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday and all Holidays.
Convienence & Recycling Centers
The Convenience Centers provide an environmentally safe place to dispose of residential waste. The public is encouraged to recycle all reusable items to minimize the impact on landfills.

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

Medical Waste:
- Medicine/Drugs (use containers at Law Enforcement Offices and some Pharmacies)
Infectious Wastes:
- Dead Animals (contact Local sanitation or Solid Waste Department)
Explosives/Ammunition:
- Fireworks
- Military Ordnance
- Ammunition
- Gunpowder
Radioactive:
- Smoke Detectors
- Radium Paint
Miscellaneous Details:
- Aerosol Cans (Empty with no “hiss” may be recycled in metal recycling container)
- Automotive Gas Tanks
- Items not in approved container
- Unlabeled/Unknown Chemicals
- No Business, School, Church, Hospital, Doctor, Dental or Contractors Waste. Household Only.
- No Containers will be emptied and returned (eg., gasoline, kerosene, diesel or other fuels or sprayers)
- Containers Must Be Leak Free
- Ask Attendant for Recycling Resources for items on the UNacceptable list.
